Job Duties and Responsibilities

This role drives enterprise value by identifying, qualifying, and commercializing high-impact strategic partnerships for Boost Mobile and EchoStar. This role solves the challenge of accelerating subscriber acquisition and expanding market footprint through innovative, multi-channel distribution models. By establishing standardized governance and leading a dedicated commercial team, the leader transforms raw growth opportunities into scalable, high-performing revenue streams. Success requires balancing complex financial performance with operational scalability while aligning cross-functional leadership around long-term business objectives.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Business Development and Partner Management team; establish clear ownership, performance expectations, and a culture of accountability across the organization
  • Build, manage, and scale a strategic partnership pipeline aligned with enterprise subscriber growth, revenue goals, and long-term value creation
  • Establish joint business plans, strategic governance, and executive performance reviews with priority partners; maximize account growth, profitability, and expansion opportunities
  • Deliver executive-level business cases and financial models while leveraging AI tools to analyze market trends, evaluate deal economics, and project commercial impact
  • Standardize business development disciplines, pipeline tracking, and cross-functional governance to transition partnerships smoothly from development through launch and ongoing optimization

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):

  • Expert strategic account management capabilities and commercial acumen to evaluate complex business models, partner economics, and long-term value creation
  • Proven leadership in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams across business development and partner management disciplines
  • Advanced executive negotiation and relationship-building skills with demonstrated credibility navigating complex partner organizations
  • AI literacy and application skills to synthesize market intelligence, optimize account planning, and enhance data-driven decision-making
  • Critical experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives across matrixed organizations to drive alignment, execution, and launch

Additional Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
  • Deep domain expertise in telecommunications, technology, retail, digital platforms, financial services, media, sports, or consumer ecosystems

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Strategy, or a related field
  • Minimum Experience: 8+ years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Strategic Account Management, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, or Management Consulting, including 2+ years of direct people leadership experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 8 years of experience with:
    • End-to-end commercial deal structuring, financial modeling, and contract negotiation
    • Joint business planning, partner portfolio expansion, and executive-level governance
    • Cross-functional initiative leadership across multi-disciplinary business units
