Job Duties and Responsibilities

Leading multi-site manufacturing and distribution operations—spanning multi-disciplined engineering, maintenance, and machine shop functions—requires an overarching technical strategy to modernize and automate facility operations  while optimizing operational costs. Modern industrial operations depend on high-uptime automated equipment, intelligent CMMS-driven maintenance practices, and digitally optimized distribution logistics across multiple locations. This role drives the automation of advanced manufacturing engineering processes, modernizes and strengthens asset integrity management, and provides technical leadership to executive stakeholders while scaling automated capacity for future business growth.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

  • Set the technical vision and strategic roadmap for manufacturing engineering, maintenance operations, and machine shops across five locations
  • Drive process optimization, Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and Six Sigma strategies to enhance operational capabilities and lower overall costs
  • Ensure facility infrastructure and hardware capacity scale effectively to support long-term enterprise expansion
  • Manage asset integrity and CMMS maintenance lifecycles to maximize overall equipment effectiveness and eliminate operational downtime
  • Apply AI-driven predictive maintenance modeling and analytics to forecast capacity requirements, optimize asset lifecycles, and streamline operational reporting
  • Present technical strategies, progress, and risk management plans clearly to C-level executives and cross-functional leadership

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering (Master's or PE license preferred) — grounding for the technical vision and strategic roadmap across manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and machine shop operations
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing/distribution engineering leadership, including multi-site responsibility — demonstrated ability to set strategy and scale operations across multiple locations
  • Demonstrated people leadership — building, mentoring, and leading multi-disciplined engineering, maintenance, and machine shop teams
  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management — proven success presenting technical strategy, progress, and risk-management plans to C-suite and cross-functional leadership
  • Hands-on experience with Industry 4.0 and smart-manufacturing technologies — IIoT sensors, SCADA, edge analytics, and AI/ML-driven predictive maintenance and capacity forecasting
  • Data analytics and operational-reporting fluency — ability to translate real-time equipment and sensor data into autonomous SOPs and automated reporting
  • Deep knowledge of facility infrastructure and capacity planning — experience scaling hardware and physical capacity to support enterprise growth
  • Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred) — track record of driving process optimization and measurable cost reduction
